Title
Developing Guidelines for the Implementation of Micro-credentials in Higher Education
Description
Micro-credentials allow for a targeted acquisition of skills and competences while not replacing traditional qualifications. Continuous learning recognised through micro-credentials can fill existing and emerging skills gaps, facilitating inclusion in lifelong learning by reaching new learners, including those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
The Microguide Project aims to achieve the following objectives in the Project partner states: 1) analyse MCs implementation practices and highlight good practices; 2) analyse and propose new (or suggest changes to) legal frameworks; 3) analyse and propose new (or suggest changes to) MCs certification and credit evaluation practices; 4) analyse and propose new (or suggest changes to) MCs QA practices; 6) develop 3 micro-credentials examples as proof of-concept; and 7) implement all analysis results and proposals in the Guidelines for the implementation of MCs in HE, together with the 3 micro-credentials examples.
